The Rhode Island Establishment strikes back: Nursing home whistleblower fired

Lisa Camuso, the hero nursing home whistleblower who exposed the utter neglect inflicted upon those families and elderly who entrusted their care to the state of Rhode Island, was fired this week.

The Rhody Report published overwhelming evidence of the utter apathy expressed when, not only infected and contagious elderly were forced out of hospitals and back into nursing homes to infect others, but also nurses, staff, and concerned family members begged the Rhode Island Department of Health for more personal protective equipment (PPE). These concerns and requests were made in an effort to mitigate the number of people exposed to the virus and to save lives.

Yet despite these efforts, Governor Gina Raimondo and Nicole Alexander-Scott Director of the Rhode Island Department of Health ignored and dismissed the requests.

Camuso, in an effort to bring attention to this tragedy and remedy it, put her career and livelihood on the line to save the lives of the most vulnerable in the Ocean State. In response, the state of Rhode Island fired her this week.
