The Rhode Island swamp fights back: RI Department of Health chooses legal action against hero whistleblower who fought to save senior citizen lives
As opposed to fixing the clear problems associated with nursing home facilities in Rhode Island, the RI Department of Health Deputy Personnel Administrator Pamela J. Moscarelli, as well as top members of the RIDOH chose to take legal action against Lisa Camuso, the nursing home whistleblower.
Mrs. Camuso’s brave and heroic actions to save the lives of hundreds of Rhode Island senior citizens continued to fall under fire on July 14, 2020 for “alleged misconduct” for exposing the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for nursing home staff, and the resulting apathy expressed by administrators and Rhode Island government officials.
The letter asserts, in part, that Mrs. Camuso “acted against the best interest of the State.” Considering the fact that only one-third of the money intended to protect RI citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic was spent weeks after Mrs. Camuso blew the whistle on the serious issues leading to the deaths of hundreds of Rhode Island senior citizens, it appears as if the “best interest of the state” is not saving lives, but protecting the political class and hording federal aid for something other than the welfare of the most vulnerable in the Ocean State.
